Douglas is a Chartered accountant with many years of experience in private equity and fund management. He deals with asset allocation and portfolio construction and reviews and oversees the selection, performance and research of funds. He provides a bi-monthly investment view for clients and other professionals. He is also a lay member of The Court of The University of Stirling, which is similar to a non-executive role.

Douglas is married with three children and seven grandchildren, and his family is his top priority. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf at the seaside with friends, going to Murrayfield for rugby, and going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
