Intelligent Pensions shortlisted for Best Retirement Advice Firm in the 2025 Money Marketing Awards
We’re delighted to share that Intelligent Pensions has been shortlisted for “Best Retirement Adviser Firm” at the 2025 Money Marketing Awards.
It’s an honour to be recognised in these prestigious awards, and being named among the UK’s leading firms in retirement advice reflects the quality of work we strive to deliver every day.
This achievement wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our talented team and the trust and collaboration of our clients. Your continued support helps shape the way we grow and improve, and we remain committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for you.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
Resumption of investment trading following market volatility
As noted in our email on 7 April, we temporarily paused investment trading due to market volatility driven by recent US tariff developments under the Trump administration.
Following a period of close market monitoring, we resumed trading activity on 12 May. In recent weeks, market conditions have stabilised, and volatility has declined to a level where we are confident that resuming investment activity presents significantly lower risk to your portfolio.
The temporary suspension of rebalancing was a precautionary measure taken to protect clients during a period of heightened market uncertainty, and it does not reflect our usual investment approach.
We remain committed to a long-term investment strategy, which evidence consistently shows delivers stronger outcomes than reacting to short-term market movements.
Fund name change
The Close Select Fixed Income X Acc fund has changed its name to TrinityBridge Select Fixed Income X Acc.
What the Intelligent Pensions team did over Easter:
Fiona Tait, our Advice and Compliance Director, had a productive weekend painting her son’s room ahead of his return from university.
We’re not entirely sold on the design choice, but credit where it’s due: a (begrudging) well done to Liverpool on their Premier League success.
Robert McCleneghen, Trainee Paraplanner, spent Easter in Australia on a special family trip to visit relatives.
It was a great opportunity for Robert’s whole family to reconnect with loved ones and enjoy exploring a different part of the world. From catching up over long-overdue meals to taking in some of Australia’s sights, sunshine and wildlife, it was a memorable break before returning to the UK routine.
Simon Wateridge, Chartered Financial Planner, spent Easter with his family in Brighton.
Most of the sunny weekend was spent chasing after his young daughter, Rose, on a series of enthusiastic egg hunts — and by all accounts, the chocolate haul was a fruitful one!
Sophie Tinney, Financial Planner in Scotland, was another to escape the UK for a well-earned break — this time to sunny Cyprus with her partner.
They stayed at Aphrodite Hills and enjoyed a few rounds of golf in between relaxing. The photo shows the tee box on the 7th hole – a daunting shot across a deep ravine. Sophie was proud to say she landed it nicely on the green… and then three-putted from there. Typical!
