While the Intelligent Pensions team is scattered around the UK and we enjoy the flexibility of remote and hybrid working, we love getting together in person a few times a year.

In September, we all gathered for a team meeting at our headquarters in Glasgow, and we’re excited to tell you more about what we learned.

The client support team welcomes a new member

We’re pleased to introduce Samuel Goldie as the newest addition to our client support team.

Samuel joins us from Aegon, where he spent six years working across a variety of financial services products.

His broad experience and diverse skill set will no doubt make him a great asset to the team.

Outside of work, Samuel is an accomplished writer. He holds a master’s degree in Creative Writing, and has a short piece due for publication in 2025.

Sam is also working on his first collection of short stories, centred around the characters and setting of his hometown.

The whole team gathered in Glasgow for a day of training and socialising

In late September, the team gathered in Glasgow for one of our regular in-person meetings.

These sessions, held a few times each year, provide an opportunity for work and social engagement, helping to boost morale and ensure alignment across the team.

This meeting focused on the recent enhancements we’ve made to our reports and procedures. The day also included a training session on Inheritance Tax and protection planning, ensuring our planners are fully equipped to meet our clients’ varied financial needs.

Once the work agenda was complete, the team enjoyed an immersive Scottish experience.

We celebrated the best of Scottish culture by dining on delicious local produce while enjoying traditional music, and captivating stories and videos about all things Scotland. The experience was a huge hit and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
